  1. Quality Clip Art Maps

  4. MapArt is a collection of clip art maps available in
  5. Encapsulated PostScript format (EPS) and in PC Paintbrush
  6. format (PCX).
  7.  
  8. MapArt was created for use with Adobe Illustrator, but
  9. works equally well with COREL DRAW or other programs that
  10. open and edit PostScript graphic files.  Note that COREL
  11. DRAW and other programs translate PostScript code into their
  12. own format, and do not require a PostScript printer to print
  13. the maps.
  14.  
  15. The EPS format maps may also be imported (or 'Placed') into
  16. page layout documents using PageMaker, Ventura Publisher, and
  17. others, but it is not possible to modify the maps in these
  18. environments.  Most users want to modify the map to show their
  19. own data, and so they require a graphics application to make
  20. the best use of the maps.
  21.  
  22. In EPS format each region is an independent object,
  23. including country outlines, states/province outlines,
  24. major city names, and water body names.
